EGF and EEAS SIGN ARRANGEMENT

TheEuropean Gendarmerie Force (EUROGENDFOR) Commander, Colonel Lucian GAVRILA, andthe Head of Division of the European External Action Service (EEAS) FieldSecurity, Mr. Peter CAVENDISH, signed a Framework Administrative Arrangement(FAA) on April 26, 2018.

EUROGENDFOR is a multinational initiative made up of seven Member States -France, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Spain- with a combined force 360,000 strong.

The purpose of the FAA is to allow the EEAS to access EUROGENDFOR’S expertise in a number of areas relevant to the security management, including but not limited to: the management of close protection teams; security incident mapping; use of radio-communications; management of response to hostage or kidnappingscenarios; infrastructural surveys; logistical advice.The Field SecurityDivision intends EUROGENDFOR to provide speakers and trainers for a number ofworking sessions during the coming Regional Security Officers’ Seminar.
