EUMAM MOZAMBIQUE MISSION

The GNR officer assigned to EUMAM Mozambique provides specialised training and mentoring to members of the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM) in counter-terrorism, as part of the Train the Trainers – Refreshment Training programme.
Given the military nature of the GNR – Guarda Nacional Republicana, which is present in #EUMAM MOZ through the European Gendarmerie Force #EUROGENDFOR, its dual and flexible nature allows GNR personnel to integrate into the military structure while providing essential knowledge and skills for an integrated approach between FADM and the security forces.
To achieve these objectives, the training provided on specific counter-terrorism topics covers security techniques, control and transport of detainees (prisoner handling) and tactical site exploitation techniques, and aims to contribute to increasing interoperability between the FADM and the security forces.
