Principles & standards
As a principle EUROGENDFOR consists of police forces with a military status (Gendarmerie type of forces) capable of carrying out, in accordance with the Nice European Council conclusions, police missions through substitution and/or strengthening of local police.
National units of each Member State are trained independently according to national regulations. To achieve high level of interoperability EUROGENDFOR implemented Training Concept that considers:

Integrated Police Units
The aim is to generate the EUROGENDFOR Force that:

consists of robust, rapidly deployable, flexible and interoperable police units;

is multi-functional and able to perform all range of police executive tasks;

is capable of acting in non-stabilised situations;

can be placed under a military chain of command or civilian authority.
