THE PURPOSE OF THE STATEMENT
The purpose of this statement is to describe how the site is managed with reference to the processing of personal data of the users who access it. Such data will be treated according to rules of lawfulness, correctness, relevance and non-redundance.
This is a policy statement that is also pursuant to art. 13 and 14 of EU Reg. 679/2016 – General Data Protection Regulation, for those who interact with the EUROGENDFOR website, on the domain http://www.eurogendfor.org which is also the URL of the Home Page of the Gendarmerie official website. Following access to this site, data relating to identified or identifiable persons may be processed.
THE ‘CONTROLLER’ OF THE DATA PROCESSING AND THE DATA PROTECTION OFFICER

LOCATION OF DATA PROCESSING
The treatments connected to the institutional tasks carried out through this website take place at the organisation headquarters and are only processed by technical personnel of the Gendarmerie entrusted with the processing itself.
Data processing takes place on the basis of their storage in computer archives held at EUROGENDFOR. No information deriving from internet access is communicated or disseminated.
The personal data provided voluntarily by users visiting the website are utilised for the sole institutional purposes of the site.
TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED
Navigation data
The computer systems and procedures used to operate this site acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data (so-called log files) which transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.
This is information that is not associated with identifiable data subjects. However, by their very nature this data could, through processing and through association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

DISCRETIONARYT NATURE OF THE PROVISION OF DATA

Failure to provide this type of data may prevent our organisation to provide the service that the user requested.
For the sake of completeness, it should be noted that in some cases the Supervisory Authority may request information pursuant to Article 157 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018 and Article 56 of EU Reg. 679/2016, for the purpose of monitoring the processing of personal data. In these cases, the user’s reply is mandatory under penalty of an administrative sanction.
METHOD OF TREATMENT
Personal data are processed with automated tools for a length of time that is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected.
Specific security measures are in place to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorized access.
RIGHTS OF THE USERS
The subjects to whom the personal data are relevant have the right at any time to obtain confirmation of the existence of such data, to know its content and origin, verify its accuracy or request its integration, updates or amendment (articles 12, 13, 15 and subsequent in EU Regulation 679/2016).
Pursuant to the same article, a user has the right to request cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data, which is processed in violation of the law, as well as to oppose in any case, for legitimate reasons, to their processing. Such requests should be addressed to the Controller.

I soggetti cui si riferiscono i dati personali hanno il diritto in qualunque momento di ottenere la conferma dell’esistenza o meno dei medesimi dati e di conoscerne il contenuto e l’origine, verificarne l’esattezza o chiederne l’integrazione o l’aggiornamento, oppure la rettificazione (artt.12, 13, 15 e succ. del Reg.to UE 679/2016).
Ai sensi del medesimo articolo si ha il diritto di chiedere la cancellazione, la trasformazione in forma anonima o il blocco dei dati trattati in violazione di legge, nonché di opporsi in ogni caso, per motivi legittimi, al loro trattamento.
