All individuals wishing to apply for a job in the EUROGENDFOR Permanent Headquarters should have into consideration the following guidelines:
All members of EUROGENDFOR must belong to the Gendarmerie-type institutions (Police Forces with military status) that make up the European Gendarmerie Force, namely:
- France: Gendarmerie Nationale
- Portugal: Guardia Nacional Republican
- The Netherlands: Koninklijke Marechaussee
- Italy: Arma dei Carabinieri
- Romania: Jandarmeria Română
- Spain: Guardia Civil
- Poland: Żandarmeria Wojskowa
Therefore, the first condition for eligibility by EUROGENDFOR is to be a Police Officer belonging to any of the above-mentioned member institutions.
The seven Police Forces are represented by national contingents holding different positions at the EUROGENDFOR Permanent Headquarters. Therefore, the selection process for accessing EUROGENDFOR is a national responsibility: each member country selects their own applicant Police Officers according to the positions they will hold in the EUROGENDFOR Permanent Headquarters structure. Requirements for the applicants differ in accordance with the job description of the post to be covered. The same procedure applies to EUROGENDFOR deployment abroad (EUROGENDFOR Forces). The only common curricular qualifications to all EUROGENDFOR positions are:
Membership to any of its member institutions.
International experience and English language knowledge.
Since EUROGENDFOR does not perform any direct (nor Internet/Social media-based) hiring or outsourcing, if you wish to join the European Gendarmerie Force, you need to apply for it through the EUROGENDFOR Member State Gendarmerie-type institution that you belong to.
