On the 16th of February 1791, the Gendarmerie Nationale was established by the Law in replacement of the Marechaussee. In order to commemorate such day since 1993, the 16th of February is considered a day of solemn celebration to those fallen of the Gendarmerie during active service. #EUROGENDFOR is joining the French Gendarmerie contingent in Vicenza for this celebration. #LexPaciferat.
