#EUROGENDFOR, through its Deputy Commander, Col. Marian Panfil, joined by LtC Carlos Coelho and LtC Konrad Kolek, participated in #carpathianblueshield 2024, an international training exercise organized at #Centrul de Perfectionare a Pregatirii Cadrelor Jandarmi Ochiuri, #Jandarmeria Română. The exercise brought together over 300 gendarmerie forces, police officers and military staff, representing 11 countries, members of the EU or candidates to accession. Five days of assiduous training, based on a fictitious EU civilian mission deployed in a tormented country, facing a lot of security challenges, requiring both substitution of local security forces in specific tasks like CRC, fight against terrorism or organized crime, but also strengthening, trough monitoring, mentoring, and advising, support to security sector reform, contributing to capacity building. The three #EUROGENDFOR officers were appointed in the leadership of the simulated EU mission and had the opportunity to delve into a crisis management operation that offered them the opportunity to share their expertise and test their capacities in a challenging environment.
