POLISH MILITARY GENDARMERIE DAY

On 13 June, we honour the Polish Military Gendarmerie, a vital part of the Polish Armed Forces. The modern Military Gendarmerie was officially established on 1 September 1990, but its roots go back to 13 June 1831. During the November Uprising against the Russian Empire, light infantry battalions were formed in #Poland as a military security body. These early formations laid the foundation for today’s Military Gendarmerie. #EUROGENDFOR salutes their dedication and service! #Lexpaciferat
