EUBAM Rafah

In February 2025, with the aim to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, the transfer of wounded people for medical treatment in Egypt, and the movement of people, members of two EUROGENDFOR Specialised Team were deployed to the area.
In line with the mission’s mandate, such specialised team are dedicated to temporarily reinforcing EUBAM Rafah in carrying out the mission’s tasks such as: actively monitoring, verifying and evaluating the PA’s performance with regard to the implementation of the Framework. This includes the security and customs agreements concluded between the parties on the operation of the Rafah terminal.
The EUROGENDFOR Teams contribute by mentoring and building up the Palestinian, Israeli and Egyptian authorities in all aspects of managing the Rafah crossing point.
