EUMAM Mozambique

The EU Training Mission (EUTM) in Mozambique was a multinational military training initiative established in October 2021. It aims to provide training and support to the Mozambican Armed Forces, helping them to protect civilian populations and restore security in Cabo Delgado Province.
The EUTM Mozambique trainers and their partners supported a continuous and progressive development within FADM (Mozambican Armed Forces), from the individual skills of the soldiers to the training of the QRF Units, being able to achieve an array of objectives.
EUTM Mozambique officially changed to EUMAM Mozambique in September 2024. Its aim is to ensure that the 11 Quick Reaction Forces units trained by EUTM Mozambique become self-sufficient. The mandate will end 30 June 2026.
Since the mission was launched, EUROGENDFOR has contributed advisers and trainers specialised in counter-terrorism.
