DG DEVCO delegation visits EUROGENDFOR

On 5 September 2017, Colonel Lucian GAVRILĂ, Commander of the European Gendarmerie Force, welcomed to the Permanent Headquarters a Delegation from the European Union, composed by the Head of the Security and Nuclear Safety Division of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO), Mr. Olivier LUYCKX, Ms. Cherry ROBERTS, from the European Commission, and Mr. Renzo Console, from the European External Action Service.

The delegation was introduced to the capabilities and strengths of EUROGENDFOR, and the added value the European Gendarmerie Force presents in the crisis management areas. Colonel GAVRILĂ and Mr. LUYCKX had the opportunity to discuss about the current involvement of EUROGENDFOR in several European Union missions, as well as explore the possibilities for future cooperation.
