Welcome, Poland.

EGF Polish Officer in Bangui

EUROGENDFOR family has just become bigger and stronger: the final step for the full incorporation of Poland into the Force has been taken.

The involvement of Poland in EUROGENDFOR began on the 27th of June 2013, upon CIMIN decision to incorporate the country as EUROGENDFOR Member State. Ever since, Poland has actively contributed to the European Gendarmerie by posting a Liaison Officer to the Permanent Headquarters, and by deploying a platoon under EGF to the EUFOR RCA mission in Bangui.

In the meantime, Poland’s process of accession to the EUROGENDFOR Treaty has developed, including the Treaty ratification and its registry and deposit by the Host Nation (Italy). Upon completion of this last requirement, we are pleased to announce that, as of the 1st of October 2015, Poland is officially a party to our Treaty, and a full relative to our Family.

The Presidency and all EUROGENDFOR countries wish to congratulate Poland for its achievement and appreciate the commitment of the Polish Military Gendarmerie personnel in the missions conducted so far by our Force, and in those challenges to come, primarily in support of the EU and its Common Security and Defence Policy.

Once more, welcome to EUROGENDFOR, Poland.
